Regulations of the International Remote Multi-genre competition «Talantia»

The International Remote Multi-genre competition «Talantia» will be held on March 30, 2024.

Holding the International Remote Multi-Genre Competition «Talantia» opens up new opportunities for creative teams and performers from all over the world, allowing them to overcome geographic boundaries, material barriers and possible health problems. And in view of the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the world, this initiative regarding the remote format of the International Multi-Genre competition «Talantia» is also aimed at preventing participants from being infected this dangerous disease.

The International Remote Multi-genre competition «Talantia» provides performers and creative teams, regardless of age and place of residence, equal opportunities to participate, guaranteeing fair judging and objective assessment of performances by a professional international jury in various genre nominations presented in the competition program.

Competitive performance is demonstrated to members of the international jury through the use of video recordings, photographs or relevant data of the specified format provided in the Application by the participants of the competition.

What does the International Remote Multi-Genre Competition «Talantia» offer?

Your performance is evaluated by a professional international jury.

Each of the participants of the competition (performer, collective), regardless of the result, receives a review of the presented performance.

Each of the participants in the competition (performer, team) receives a diploma and award.

Participants (performer, team) get the opportunity to participate in master classes and other creative projects of the Charitable Foundation «Talented World».

How to take part in the International Remote Multi-Genre Competition «Talantia»?

1. Upload your video of your performance to Youtube.

2. Fill out the Application.

3. Receive an account number by e-mail to pay the registration fee.

How are the winners of the International Remote Multi-Genre Competition «Talantia» awarded?

Prizes are determined on the basis of the protocol of the jury of the competition (at least three members of the jury in each of the nominations) and the summing up of the number of points received according to a 10-point assessment system from each of the jury members.

The jury’s decision is final and not subject to revision or appeal.

The title is awarded in each nomination and age category:

I degree Laureate (1st place);

ІІ degree Laureate (2st place);

III degree Laureate (3st place).

The Grand Prix is ​​an award of the highest degree and can be awarded by a common decision of the jury for the brightest performance in each genre of the competition.

Also, the organizers of the festival-competition, if necessary, have the opportunity to establish additional nominations to encourage the winners:

«People’s Choice Award»;

«Special merit»;

other special nominations.

Soloist laureates, duet laureates and trio laureates are awarded diplomas and medals.

The laureates-collectives are awarded with the diploma and a cup.

Each leader receives gratitude from the organizers of the competition.

Theatrical genre:

passage from theatrical performance;

Circus genre:

the art of acrobatics;

the art of equilibrium;

the art of juggling;

the art of a magician;

the art of clowning;

the art of eccentrics;

Applied and fine arts:

painting;

graphic arts;

floristry;

embroidery;

sculpting;

felting;

decoupage;

beading;

paper plastic (origami, quilling, applique and others);

production of jewelry and accessories;

creation of volumetric compositions;

other areas of applied and fine arts.

Genre of author’s creativity:

creation of songs;

writing music;

scripting;

creation of prose works;

creation of poetry;

other directions of author’s creativity.

Genre of demonstration of special abilities:

• any form of demonstration of the participant’s special abilities, which reveals his uniqueness.

Age categories of the participants of the International Remote Competition «Talantia»:

1st category – from 3 to 6 years old;

2nd category – from 7 to 9 years old;

3rd category – from 10 to 13 years old;

4th category – from 14 to 17 years old;

5th category – from 18 to 24 years old;

6th category – from 24+ years old;

7th category (mixed group) – 20% of the team exceeds the increase in the total number of participants.

The number of participants in the competition:

• solo (1 person);

• duet (2 people);

• trio (3 people);

• small groups (4-7 people);

• formation (8-15 people);

• production (16 and more).

General requirements and timing of the competitive performance:

• Solo – up to 3 minutes.

• Duet, trio – up to 4 minutes.

• Small groups – up to 5 minutes.

• Formation – up to 6 minutes.

• Production – up to 8 minutes.

• Theater groups, fashion theaters – up to 20 minutes.

• Allowed for one participant in the «Applied and Fine Arts» nomination – 3 works of one type of technique.

Evaluation criteria for participants in the nominations of the International Remote Multi-genre Сompetition «Talantia»:

Vocal genre:

natural vocal data (timbre qualities of the voice, power parameters of the voice and others);

the level of vocal training (vocal breathing, singing position, register sound of the voice and others);

features of artistic performance (phrasing, use of means of artistic expression, disclosure of stylistic features, interpretation of a vocal work, and others);

demonstration of musical training (tempo-rhythmic aspect, intonation component and others);

work with the text (diction aspect, semantic content of the text of the work and others);

stage image (stage skills, costume, hairstyle, make-up and others);

choice of repertoire.

Choreographic genre:

technique of performance (use of vocabulary corresponding to the dance direction, a sense of rhythm, musicality, the ability to partner stage cooperation, and others);

compositional characteristics (stylistic and technical features of the performance, correspondence of musical and semantic components, tempo-rhythmic component and others);

stage image (stage performance, acting skills, costume, hairstyle, make-up, stage expressiveness and others).

Instrumental genre:

measure of mastery of the instrument (demonstration of the relevant professional and technical skills and abilities, the level of performing skills, the possibility of joint ensemble work, etc.);

selection of the repertoire (the level of complexity of the repertoire, the correspondence of the repertoire to the performing capabilities, as well as its artistic and educational value);

features of artistic performance (phrasing, musicality, use of means of artistic expression, disclosure of stylistic features, interpretation of a piece of music, etc.);

stage image (artistry, costume, hairstyle, makeup and others).

Theatrical genre:

stage appearance (stage appearance, organic existence, natural attraction, costume, hairstyle, makeup and others);

acting skills (demonstration of relevant acting skills and abilities, the ability to work together with partners, the ability to consciously switch attention, the ability to «take an event», «act on stage» and others);

features of artistic performance (interpretation, reincarnation – «belief in the proposed circumstances», disclosure of stylistic features, interpretation of the work, and others);

work with the text (diction aspect, semantic content of the text of the work and others);

integrity, originality of the director’s decision (unity of concept, form and content);

director’s work (stage realization of the idea, scenographic component, temporitmic component, work with light, musical component, costumes and others);

compliance of the performance with the age capabilities of the participants and the creative capabilities of the team.

Fashion theater:

• direction (entertainment, theatricality, the integrity of the production, the unity of the concept, artistic embodiment, musical accompaniment, work with light, and others);

• stylistic component (costume, hairstyle, appearance matching and others);

• originality of the director’s decision, accuracy and imagery of ways to express the idea of ​​the competition work;

• artistry of performance (accuracy of stage realization of roles, ability to partner interaction, plasticity in defile, turns, walkways, ability to work in pairs and in groups, choreography and others);

• costume design (concept, aesthetics, unity of concept, silhouette forms and color scheme, a measure of the complexity of making clothing models, and others);

• originality of the author’s solution, innovation in the use of technological solutions and materials;

• compliance of the performance with the age capabilities of the participants and the creative capabilities of the team in the context of the implementation of the declared idea.

Circus genre:

the level of professional training (possession of the necessary professional and technical skills and abilities, the practical implementation of the technical capabilities of the performers during the performance, and others);

artistry, stage performance (plasticity, costume, appearance, performance culture and others);

creative approach to the choice of repertoire;

the complexity of the program being executed;

stage design of the program, props.

Applied and fine arts:

possession of technique and material (demonstration of acquired professional and technical skills and abilities);

quality of performance;

originality of creative ideas and solutions;

degree of difficulty.

Genre of author’s creativity:

demonstration of creative possibilities in the chosen direction (creation of music, lyrics, songs, writing poetry, prose, scripts and others);

demonstration of performing abilities (the ability to present a work, revealing its artistic characteristics and personal creative feeling);

disclosure of the synthetic nature of creativity (combination of the content and form of the competitive work, created in compliance with the relevant ideological and thematic criteria: artistic, musical, ethical, moral, educational and others);

accessibility for the audience’s perception (availability of a clear plot of the work, clarity of the composition and its components, and others).

Jury of the International Remote Multi-genre Сompetition «Talantia»

consists of famous musicians, singers, artists, directors from Ukraine, USA, Germany, China, Argentina, Poland, Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, Austria, Spain and other countries, as well as leading Ukrainian teachers of creative disciplines, leaders of creative teams, cultural and art workers.

Conditions for participation in the International Remote Multi-genre Сompetition «Talantia»:

All expenses for the organization of the festival-competition are carried out at the expense of charitable, sponsorship and other contributions.

Solo – 350 UAH from the participant (15 USD, 13 EUR at the NBU rate).

Duet – 200 UAH from the participant (10 USD, 8 EUR at the NBU rate).

Trio – 180 UAH from the participant (8 USD, 6 EUR at the NBU rate).

Small groups – 150 UAH from the participant (8 USD, 6 EUR at the NBU rate).

Formation – 120 UAH from the participant (6 USD, 5 EUR at the NBU rate).

Production – 100 UAH from the participant (5 USD, 4 EUR at the NBU rate).

In the nomination «Applied and Fine Arts» – 350 UAH from the participant (in one Application up to 3 works performed in one type of equipment are submitted).

Preferential categories take part in the competition with a 50% discount (subject to the provision of relevant certificates and documents).

The privileged categories include: disabled children, orphans, children of ATO participants (JFO – Joint Forces Operation).

Conditions for sending and receiving Diplomas, Certificates, Reviews and awards by the participants of the International Remote Multi-genre competition «Talantia» (for Ukraine residents*):

• Sending Diplomas, Certificates, Reviews and rewards in a real form (non-digital) is produced at the expense of participants of the International competition «Talantia».

• Diplomas, Certificates, Reviews and awards are sent in real form (non-digital) by the «Novaya Pochta» service and delivered to the «Novaya Pochta» branch specified in the Application.

Conditions for sending and receiving Diplomas, Certificates, Reviews and awards by the participants of the International Remote Multi-genre competition «Talantia» (not Ukraine residents*):

• Diplomas, Certificates, Reviews are sent to participants (not Ukraine residents) in electronic (digital) form to the e-mail address specified in the participant’s Application.

• Sending Diplomas, Certificates, Reviews and rewards in a real form (non-digital) is produced at the request of the participants of the International competition «Talantia» and is made with the help of an international delivery service («Nova Poshta», «DHL», «Meest Express»).

• Sending Diplomas, Certificates, Reviews and rewards in a real form (non-digital) is produced at the expense of participants of the International competition «Talantia» (not Ukraine residents).

* Ukraine residents – individuals and legal entities permanently residing on the territory of Ukraine.
* Not Ukraine residents – individuals and legal entities not residing on the territory of Ukraine (citizens of other countries).

Technical requirements for the submitted video recording of the competitive performance:

Video recording should take place without turning off or stopping the video camera from the beginning to the end of the performance of the work. Installation is unacceptable.

It is allowed to use an external microphone (no audio processing).

During the performance of the program, the video should clearly show: the hands of the contestant, the instrument, as well as the performer himself, depending on the nomination presented.

During the performance of duets, trios, small groups, formation and production groups, it is necessary that all members of these groups are clearly visible.

An amateur video format is allowed, provided that all the specified conditions of the competition are followed.

Video material recorded not in full or created in an inappropriate form is not allowed to participate in the competition!

Copyright protection of the participants of the International Remote Multi-genre Сompetition «Talantia»:

Public demonstration of video recordings, photographs or text material of the participant (participants, team) is optional.

Each participant, teacher or parents of the participant (if the participant is a minor) has the right to choose regarding the placement of the video on Youtube, specifying one of three options in the settings:

1. Public video.

2. Watch the video on the link.

3. Watch the video only for you.

The organizing committee reserves the right to publish on the official website of the «Talented World» Charitable Foundation any video materials, photographs and text materials sent by the participants to the organizing committee of the competition.

The organizing committee has the right to use and distribute (without paying a fee to participants) video recordings, photographic materials, text materials, as well as printed and other types of products created during the competition events and as a result.

The Application for participation in the competition sent by the contestants and the provision of competitive video material, photographic material or text material is a confirmation of acceptance of all the conditions of this Regulation.
